This policy explains what happens to information when you use Power of Attorney Map (powerofattorneymap.com).

The short version

You do not need an account. When you download, copy or print one of our letters or the signing checklist, we save only four things: which document it was, the name you typed in the name box, your phone or email (if you gave one) and your state. We never save health or capacity information, finances, the name of your agent or anyone else, facility or property details, or anything written in your document. We do not sell information. We run a cookie-free visit counter to see how many people use the site.

The signing checklist and the letters

The signing checklist, the letter to revoke a power of attorney and the notice to revoke or change a health care directive work in your browser. The PDF, Word and text files are created on your device. When you download, copy or print one of them, we save: the document type, the name you entered as the sender, the phone number or email you entered (if any) and the state you chose. We also record the page, the date and time, and your approximate location (country and state) based on your IP address.

Everything else stays in your browser. We do not save or send the date of your power of attorney, your address, your agent's name or address, the doctor's, bank's or facility's name or address, whether you live in a nursing facility, any health or capacity information, account or property details, the items you checked or anything else you typed. We do not save anything you type until you download, copy or print, and then only the four items above.

We use the saved information to understand how many people in each state use our tools and to improve our guides. We do not sell it, and we do not share it except with service providers that host our site and database (Cloudflare), or if the law requires it. We keep it for up to three years, then delete it. To see or delete it, email hello@robinclaim.com with the name you used, and we will respond within 30 days.

Information collected automatically

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, receives technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page you request, to deliver the page and protect the site.

We run our own visit counter. It does not use cookies. It keeps a random visit identifier in your browser's local storage. For each visit it records the pages viewed, the site you came from, the time spent on each page, clicks on buttons and links, your IP address, your country, state and city, and your device and browser type. We keep visit records for 5 years and then delete them. We do not use Google Analytics on this site.

Email, children and your rights

If you email us, we use your message only to reply. Please do not send us health or financial details by email. This site is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. You can ask us what we hold about you and ask us to delete it. Residents of states such as California may have additional rights.
